I love gardening, but don’t have a garden. How can I get involved?

There are so many reasons why gardening is great for those living with dementia, and it’s great that you want to get involved. You don’t actually need to have a garden of your own to enjoy gardening. Here are some ideas: *If you’ve got a patio or balcony try growing shrubs, flowers and veg in pots. You don’t need a lot of space for a tomato plant or tulip bulbs or some herbs *Try creating colourful window boxes *Nurture house plants. Indoor gardening is very rewarding and you can even grow things like herbs and chillies in pots on a windowsill. You could even grow things from seeds and cuttings *Ask if you can help out in a neighbour’s or friend’s garden or allotment *Join a conservation group or volunteer as a gardener for a local charity.
