Does having dementia affect my annual travel insurance policy?

It’s best to check the wording on your policy and contact your insurer. It’s possible that your annual travel insurance policy might be affected by your dementia diagnosis, so call your insurer and tell them. If you don’t, and have to claim while you’re away, they might not pay out, which could have serious implications. Don’t leave it until just before you’re due to travel to contact your insurer because some insurance companies ask for a medical screening before they agree to continue to cover you, and that takes time.
