Tell them about the items that are important to you and ask them to see it from your point of view. How would they feel if you told them to get rid of a load of stuff just because you've had a diagnosis you didn't want?

Answer

Be honest with yourself. Hold onto the things that really mean a lot to you but ask yourself if you have clutter you don't need. Getting rid of some items can be therapeutic.

You don't have to do it straight away. Give yourself time to think about it. Or see if you can put some things in storage if you don't use them but you're not ready to get rid of them.
